Dr. Jason B. Whitman was born and raised in Cody, WY and is a proud 4th generation Wyomingite. He completed the first two years of his collegiate education at Northwest College in Powell, WY and finished his Bachelors of Science in Biology at Ferris State University in 1999. His Doctor of Optometry degree was earned at the Michigan College of Optometry in 2001.
Dr. Whitman has had the privilege of working with the Lion’s Club on their diabetic eye care initiatives in Wyoming. He enjoys difficult contact lens fits and practices to the full scope of his license. He is working toward a fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Cornea and Contact Lens Section with the AOA, the AOA’s Political Action Committee and the Wyoming Optometric Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Whitman is an avid photographer and has traveled all over North America with a particular interest in the American West. His work has been featured on Fox News and in many other venues. More information about his photography may be found here.
